Lab rock

the density of each of each of your mineral samples. How could you use the densities to identify the minerals

1. You can identify a mineral by its appearance and other properties.2. The color and luster describe the appearance of a mineral, and streak describes the color of the powdered mineral. 3. A mineral has a characteristic density.4. Mohs hardness scale is used to compare the hardness of minerals.

2. Would density or color be more useful in identifying a particular mineral? Explain your answer.

I think both of it are useful but density is more useful. The reason is it is more accurate because it used the same ratio even if how big or how heavy it is and one mineral can be more than one color.
